1.      ERASMUS-EDU-2022-CBHE Project Nr. 101083070

The project, titled “ROAMING - Strengthening International Staff&Student Mobility Offices in the West Balkans,” aims at reducing the unbalanced international mobility uptake of remote and less privileged HEIs in the West Balkans by strengthening the capacity of their International Relations Offices. To this end, we have established a consortium with a mix of experienced and inexperienced Higher Education Institutions from the West Balkans in matters related to ERASMUS+ from Albania, Kosovo* and Montenegro, willing to cooperate with an experienced university from an ERASMUS member country and another university from an associated country, North Macedonia.

Consortium Membership:

1.1.                        University College LOGOS, Albania – Leader.

1.2.                        POLIS University, Albania – Consortium partner.

Study Visit training press Intl University STRUGA - University College LOGOS - May 2023

LOGOS University College is a leader in the new Erasmus+ project (ERASMUS-EDU-2022-CBHE-STRAND-1, project number 101083070) titled "Strengthening International Staff & Student Mobility Offices in the West Balkans," with the illustrative acronym ROAMING.

The HEIs in Greece and North Macedonia have been selected to present their models to the Consortium Members. As part of this task, a Study Visit was conducted at the International University of Struga on May 29th and 30th.

The International University of Struga (IUST) warmly welcomed 14 representatives from Western Balkan Universities, comprising both administrative and academic staff. The purpose of the Study Visit to IUST was to familiarize the participants with the university's organizational structure and strategic framework of its International Relations Office (IRO). The goal was to learn from the experiences of a young yet rapidly growing university that has established partnerships with a significant number of HEIs in Europe and other contries. During the visit, the participants were introduced to the International Relations Office, including the various types and range of projects accomplished under Erasmus+, student selection procedures, inter-institutional agreements, development strategies, as well as the limitations and barriers to faster internationalization.

The LOGOS team was represented by two academic staff members, Dr. Valbona Nathanaili and Dr. Ledia Sula, along with Msc. Anisa Duka from the administrative staff. The event took place in Struga, North Macedonia, from May 29th to 30th, 2023, and focused on the reconfiguration of International Relations Offices, capacity building in the field of internationalization and cooperation, and the exchange of best practices for mobility projects under the Erasmus+ program.
